Lost 4.7 Ji Yeon ReviewLOST

aka: "Must...have...panda bear!"
by Peter Sorensen

In the seventh episode of Season Four, the complete and total mindf**k continues. Juliet lets a secret slip, and it could mean tragedy for Sun and Jin. Meanwhile, Desmond and Sayid meet the rest of the Boaties, including someone with a very familiar face (c'mon, you should know this by now).

I curse whoever it was over at Lost that first pitched the idea of flashforwards.

Sure, it blew me away last season and left all of us collectively scratching our heads, but now it just feels like we're being tossed around in some kind of schoolyard "keep-away" match. Is it a flashback, or is it a flashforward? Is it the past, is it the future? I suppose I would have been genuinely surprised by tonight's episode, had I not seen it coming a mile away, or had they not prematurely given away the twist.

Pixar's Wall-E:The New E.T.?
Wednesday, 12 March 2008

Today, Pixar released the first full length US trailer for their upcoming blockbuster Wall-E, the story of a lonely but loveable trash robot left behind on Earth to clean up the mess the humans left behind. The movie looks stunningly beautiful (which should go without saying for a Pixar movie) and judging by the trailer, it has the one thing that lifts Pixar movies above the other studios: a whole lotta heart.

The star of the movie, Wall-E is at once both cute and vulnerable, something generally uncommon in a science fiction movie. While his character design may remind people more of Johnny Five from Short Circuit, Wall-E seems to be channeling the personality of another soulful title character: 1982's "E.T."

Heroes Comic: Pieces of Me

Heroes Comic #76 Review
In this week's issue of the Heroes Graphic novel, the list of new characters introduced by the series continues to steadily grow as we're introduced to a man named Ryan Covington who has a reoccuring dream of his own death.

As if that wasn't bad enough, in his most recent dream he gets a visit from everybody's favorite little plot device: Sanjog "McGuffin" Iyer.

The dream itself is drowning in so much symbolism that it could take weeks and weeks and armies of psychologists to fully interpret and define what each symbol means. Unfortunately, we don't have that kind of time and quite frankly they'd probably all link it so some subconscious Oedipal urge anyway, so I'm going to take a crack at it and - using the infinite resources of the internet - decipher the meaning behind Ryan's dream.

Speed Racer Explodes With 2 New Trailers!

Warner Brothers surprised fans everywhere today when they released not one, but TWO brand spankin' new international trailers for the upcoming live-action Speed Racer movie.

Helmed by the Wachowski Brothers (Wachowski Siblings, if you believe the internet rumors ) and shot using state-of-the-art digital technology to create a more cartoon-ish look, Speed Racer is one of the most highly anticipated films of the upcoming year.

The trailers have drawn mixed emotions from fans of the show and of the filmmakers, some showering praise on the new look and style, others saying that it looks like a "big fat steaming dump of a movie".

And while I may still be clinging on in the former group, this movie does have a growing "craptastic" feel to it.

LOST: Ben's Spy on the Boat REVEALED!

SPOILER WARNING!

Ever since Benjamin Linus droppped the bombshell earlier in the season that he had a spy aboard the freighter, many have speculated as to his identity. Is it someone we've met before? Is it someone new? Is it a four-toed alien time-traveler who never ages?

Ok, no one speculated that last one, but still: people have been guessing.

Well, guess no more - thanks to a friend of the site we have a picture from an upcoming episode of Lost that just might prove once and for all who Ben's "man on the boat" is.
