Julie Taymor and U2’s Bono and The Edge Collaborate on Musical; Fanboys Everywhere Simultaneously Vomit.
Um... I'm not even sure what to say about this, but it seems that in their pre-Spiderman 3 merchandising rush, Marvel Comics has decided to create a musical (yes, a musical) about Spiderman.
My first thoughts? Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot. Exclamation Point. |

LOST D.O.C. aka: "E.R. - Lost style" by Peter Sorensen
Ah, Lost. In this episode, Sun learns the identity of her "baby daddy" (without the help of Montel Williams no less) after Juliet examines her; Desmond allows an unlikely enemy to help save the life of another mysterious island inhabitant.
I'm really not sure how to feel about this week's episode. On one hand, it's nice to see that things are starting to come to a head, and that we're making progress with the show's greater mysteries. But on the other hand, I can't help but feel a little overwhelmed and hurried by the new pace the show has adopted. Maybe it's because they waited so long to answer these questions, or maybe I'm just used to a slower plotline, but either way these episodes are barreling quickly towards the season finale, destroying everything in their path. And now, with the last lines of this episode, we've been thrown back into the theory pit and all the craziness it contains. |

HEROES .07% aka: "Pull that damn glass out of his head already!" by Peter Sorensen
The superhero smackdown begins in this episode when Peter Petrelli and Sylar finally throw down, but it quickly ends when Peter is killed after being outmaneuvered by Sylar. Meanwhile, HRG escapes from the Company holding cells with help from some surprising allies, and Linderman tries to convince Nathan Petrelli to join him, kidnaps Micah Sanders, threatens Nikki/Jessica, and basically tries to avoid a "wee bit of the ultraviolence".
Boo yah. That's pretty much all I can think of to say about the return of Heroes this week. From the battle between Peter and Sylar to plumming the depths of Nathans "slimeballness", the writers are sharp and back with a vengeance minus one plot point that literally had me shouting at the TV (more on that further down). |

 LOST Catch 22
aka: "He ain't heavy, he's my brother... brutha" by Peter Sorensen
Ah, Lost. In this episode, Desmond has yet another glimpse of the future and convinces Charlie, Hurley, and Jinn to traipse around the jungle with him. Meanwhile, the whole "lust triangle" continues back on the Beach. Ok, so where to begin here. Writing: Excellent. Episode: Great. Show: Getting there.
This week we were treated to what, in my opinion, was the greatest opening of the season. We get classic comic book fanboy arguments mixed with the sudden violent death of Charlie by means of a crossbow bolt to the throat. Wow. Incidentally, there is no way to effectively judge a winner in the whole Superman v. Flash argument (it's the comic fanboy equivalent to Pirates v. Ninjas). And, as we know from the comics, when Superman and Flash compete, something bad always happens. |
