Lost: The EconomistLOST
The Economist
aka: "The name's Jarrah. Sayid Jarrah."
by Peter Sorensen

In the third episode of Season Four, the complete and total mindf**k continues. Sayid makes a deal to rescue Charlotte in return for safe passage back to the Boat, Miles conducts a mind-boggling experiment, the Lockies make it to the barracks, and Kate makes a very surprising decision.

It's official: the longer this show runs, the less and less sense it makes.

Seriously, what the hell? It's confusing, convoluted, mysterious, vague, complicated, and obtuse. Every episode seems to add more and more questions and plunges us further and further into a vast chasm of supernatural science fiction where the laws of physics seem not to apply and people speak with spirits.

And you know what? I'm loving every single minute of it.

LOST: Confirmed Dead

Lost - Confirmed Dead ReviewLOST
Confirmed Dead
aka: "My Head A-Splode"
by Peter Sorensen

In the second episode of Season Four, we meet the Fab Four: John, the smart one; Paul, the good looking one; George, the young one: and Ringo, the skeezy one. Oh, sorry. Wrong Fab Four. We meet Dan, Miles, Charlotte, and Frank: the Boaties who have come to the island with brand new mysteries in tow.

Tonight's episode ended and I stood up from my chair, wandered into the kitchen, grabbed a cold Diet Mountain Dew from the fridge.

Muttered to myself.

I grabbed some Zingers from the pantry and sat back down in my chair, kicked the footrest up. Worn cigarette holder clenched furiously between my teeth and with sweetly sugared caffeine flowly freely through my veins, I unplugged my tablet PC from the AC adapter and set it on my lap.  My hands rested lightly on the keyboard. What words could possibly, and more to the point accurately, describe the myriad of throughts cascading through my head at this very moment?

Well, let's see... How about:

"WHAT THEImageIS GOING ON WITH THISImageISLAND??!!"

LOST Season 4 Premiere: The Beginning of the End
Friday, 01 February 2008
Lost Season Four Episode One

In the season premiere of Lost, the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 find themselves divided when it's revealed that the Boaties are not who they say they are. Naomi gets some more screen time, Hurley gets some bad news, Jack gets a little payback, and Locke gets away.

Watching Lost tonight was like throwing a college party: Things start off pretty slow, people trickle in, casual chit-chat is made. Maybe someone turns on a decent MP3 playlist and everyone starts mixing drinks and getting chatty. As time goes on, it gets a little busier, but still pretty relaxed and fun. Then, without warning, some spectacular drunk kicks in the door, downs an entire bottle of Jaegermeister in one swig, licks your girlfriends neck, and proceeds to destroy all your furniture with an axe while screaming Metallica lyrics at the top of his lungs.

Lost is that spectacular drunk... hide the good furniture.

The Lost-Marvel Comics Conspiracy
Thursday, 31 January 2008
imageMarvel Comics has been subtlely (or maybe not-so-subtlely) hiding references to the hit TV show "Lost" in their comics.

25 titles (possibly more), over the course of the last month, have included Lost posters, Oceanic Airlines banners, and various text references, including "Find Yourself", "Find815.com", "The Lost... Are Found", and the number 6. From Amazing Spiderman to the X-Men, no comic was safe from this sneaky marketing campaign between ABC and Marvel Comics.

Did you spot them?

We poured over page after page of comics to find them all, and we've got them all for you right here.

Frame by Frame: The Lost Season 4 Trailer
Monday, 17 December 2007
imageWhile the rest of the television world is in complete and utter turmoil, it's nice to see that some good can come out of the recent writers strike (other than Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy being off the air I mean).

ABC recently announced that due to the bleak, barren and otherwise desolate primetime schedule(my words, not theirs), the season premiere of Lost will be moved up to Thursday, January 31st in the 9pm time slot, where it will stay, presumably, until the WGA strike is over or until "vampiric mutants wander the post-apocalyptic earth" (again: my words, not theirs).

Along with the announcement, the internet has been abuzz with the release of the new Season Four promo trailer and we've managed to get our greasy little hands on it and do a little digging.

Warning: There Be Spoilers Here.
