Lost 4.7 Ji Yeon ReviewLOST
Ji Yeon
aka: "Must...have...panda bear!"
by Peter Sorensen

In the seventh episode of Season Four, the complete and total mindf**k continues. Juliet lets a secret slip, and it could mean tragedy for Sun and Jin. Meanwhile, Desmond and Sayid meet the rest of the Boaties, including someone with a very familiar face (c'mon, you should know this by now).

I curse whoever it was over at Lost that first pitched the idea of flashforwards.

Sure, it blew me away last season and left all of us collectively scratching our heads, but now it just feels like we're being tossed around in some kind of schoolyard "keep-away" match. Is it a flashback, or is it a flashforward? Is it the past, is it the future? I suppose I would have been genuinely surprised by tonight's episode, had I not seen it coming a mile away, or had they not prematurely given away the twist.

The Other Woman
aka: "Get it? Other? Woman? Other woman?"
by Peter Sorensen

In the sixth episode of Season Four, the complete and total mindf**k continues. Daniel and Charlotte disappear into the woods on a dangerous secret mission and Juliet goes after them. Kate and Jack reunite, and in flashbacks we learn that Goodwin and Ms. Burke "had a thaaaang.... goin' awn."

Ah, that loveable scamp Jack Shephard, always running around getting into zany hijinks whilst trying to decide between Betty or Veronica... what a rascal!

In tonights episode of Lost (which is sadly the penultimate episode of this story arc) we learn a bit more about the relationship between Juliet and Goodman... or more to the point: Juliet, Goodman, and Goodman's wife.

Lost Episode 4.5LOST
The Constant
aka: "Back to the Butterfly Effect Future"
by Peter Sorensen

In the fifth episode of Season Four, the complete and total mindf**k continues. Desmond and Sayid hit some turbulence on the way to the boat, resulting in Desmond experiencing some rather odd "side effects", namely having his consciousness travel back and forth between the past and the present.

Alright, you can pick your jaws up off the floor, put your eyeballs back in their sockets, reassemble your exploded brain parts, and start breathing again - the episode is over. I am currently typing this standing up because I found that, due to the obscene amounts of adrenaline coursing through my veins and thoughts rushing through my head, I am unable to sit still.

Best... Episode... Yet.

Lost 4.4 Eggtown ReviewLOST
Eggtown
aka: "Kate Austin: Ho (fo' sho)"
by Peter Sorensen

In the fourth episode of Season Four, the complete and total mindf**k continues. Locke starts to lose it (if he ever had it in the first place), Kate uses her feminine wiles to arrange a meeting between Miles and Ben (and a meeting between her and Sawyer's sheets), and in the flashforward, Kate stands trial for her crimes.

If you're anything like me, you get a rush of adrenaline when there's a Kate-centric episode of Lost. Of course, if you're anything like me, you have a small closet in your house that you've turned into a Kate Austin love-shrine, complete with candles, an entire wall of Evangeline Lilly photos you took while hiding in her shrubs,  the glass she drank out of at the last promotional tour, and a lock of her hair that you snuck onto set to steal and then smuggled out of Hawaii underneath your baseball cap.

But I digress...

The Economist
aka: "The name's Jarrah. Sayid Jarrah."
by Peter Sorensen

In the third episode of Season Four, the complete and total mindf**k continues. Sayid makes a deal to rescue Charlotte in return for safe passage back to the Boat, Miles conducts a mind-boggling experiment, the Lockies make it to the barracks, and Kate makes a very surprising decision.

It's official: the longer this show runs, the less and less sense it makes.

Seriously, what the hell? It's confusing, convoluted, mysterious, vague, complicated, and obtuse. Every episode seems to add more and more questions and plunges us further and further into a vast chasm of supernatural science fiction where the laws of physics seem not to apply and people speak with spirits.

And you know what? I'm loving every single minute of it.
