In the tenth episode of the Season Five, Sayid reflects on the events in his life that brought him back to the island, and his purpose in being there, while Sawyer tries to find a way to help him without blowing their cover.
I have no other way of describing last nights episode other than simply calling it “extremely Lost-ian”. In the show's trademark style, I spent the whole episode preparing and expecting one thing, only to have it spiral out at the last second into something completely different and unexpected. The fact that it can still surprise me and keep me on my toes after five seasons says more for the series than anything I could possibly write. |

LOST The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham aka: "Ben and Locke's Excellent Adventure" | | In the seventh episode of Season Five, Locke returns to civilization with a mission: get the Oceanic Six to return to the island. Unfortunately, Locke finds out it's not as easy as he thought it would be and Ben once again shows his true colors. Because of my recent lengthy absence (long story, but it involves time travel and bright white flashes of light - thank god for constants!) I haven't been able to review the last few episodes of Lost, but over the course of the previous 6 episodes, Lost has once again cemented it's position as the best show on television. Between the disappointment of the Oceanic Six going their seperate ways, and the bemused excitement of them all ending up on the plane anyway (even Frank!) and returning to the island, Lost has continually rewritten the rules about what is and isn't possible on the show. Last night was no different. |

LOST Jughead aka: "Which came first - the answer or the question?" | | In the third episode of Season Five, Desmond's search for Faraday's mother brings him face to face with an old acquaintance. Daniel tries to defuse a leaking atomic bomb while Locke seeks out Richard Alpert for more answers.
In lieu of my regular episode recap (which I was unable to do because I was terrifically ill at the time and enough time has passed that hopefully everyone has seen the episode), I've decided to instead focus on the essential parts of season five episode three, "Jughead": |

LOST Because You Left aka: "A side order of guilt, please!" | | In the first part of the Season Five premiere, the people on the island begin to experience the consequences of moving the island. Back in civilization, Jack (along with Ben) begins to carry out their plan to bring everyone back to the island, which proves to be more difficult than they thought.
Every year, I impatiently wait for the Lost season premiere, sure that it can't possibly live up to my expectations. Each year I am proven wrong. This year, like all the others, I have been proven wrong. Not only did the season premiere far surpass even my wildest hopes, it completely blew any and all competition out of the water in terms of action, story, character development and (most importantly) sheer entertainment value. I would even go so far as to put last night's premiere up as the best one yet (although admittedly, it would face some serious competition). |

Sadly, Comic Con is over. Hundreds of fanboys and fangirls all across the nation are packing away their intricately crafted Wolverine costumes and homemade lightsabers for next year, but all is not lost! Rising from the burning ashes of the San Diego Conference Center, today we're greeted by the next stage in the Lost ARG.
This morning's email continues the ARG by announcing the arrival of the Dharma Initiative Eligibility Test, located at www.dharmawantsyou.com. The test itself is quite simple: you're asked to identify what words you associate with a series of images and then you answer a set of hypothetical questions like "You just stole a child's toy. Why?" The answers are all multiple choice.
But of course, it wouldn't be Dharma if they didn't have a trick up their sleeve... |

Yet another Octagon Global Recruitment email arrived in my inbox this morning, along with a mysterious hidden message and surprising details about their "booth" at Comic-Con this year.
The email itself is just like the previous one, but announces that Dharma's Head of Recruiting, Mr. Hans Van Eeghan (that HAS to be some kind of anagram or alias), will be available for the recruitment drive in San Diego this year. It also includes a link for anyone attending Comic-Con this year to be entered into a "randomly selected drawing to secure one of ten (10) pre-release appointments with one of our recruiting officers", and a link to a "volunteer eligibility assessment" at www.dharmawantsyou.com (it's either not up quite yet, or there's a trick to getting into it).
But that's not all...
