I've been wondering about that too. Also, why do you think Charlotte and Daniel haven't called their boat to notify them of a spy? I mentioned this in a previous post and it's been bugging me.

I have been racking my brain since you mentioned that, and you know what?

I have no earthly idea. Haha! We know the satphone is still working, we know they still have contact with their boat. So let's go through this logically: there's only a few reasons why Charlotte wouldn't call and let them know about the spy:
1. Charlotte is the spy. Occam's razor, and all that.
2. They already know about the spy? Perhaps the Boaties know who the spy is, and are feeding him false information to get closer to Ben?
3. Charlotte thinks Ben was lying to get out of being shot in the jungle.
4. Charlotte doesn't want to call because there's no guarantee that whoever she tells isn't the spy. She doesn't know who to trust.

Hey - some of those actually sound pretty possible. Go me!

I'm leaning towards number 2 but knowing who the spy is (assuming the man in the picture IS the spy) I find it plausible to believe that he may be double crossing Ben. The Boaties and the spy might be working together.

Number 4 is an excellent reason too. The most likely one, actually.

Just a side note after watching the trailer for next week's episode again. We know from
"The Economist" that something bad is going to happen between the Boaties and Sayid. It almost seemed like it had to do with them killing someone he cared for. It looks like Zoe Bell will finally be joining the show next week as a woman jumping off the freighter with chains. My guess is that she is the chick who has been answering the phone in Minkowski's absence. Despite the appearance of her being killed by drowning, perhaps she doesn't die and becomes a love interest for Sayid. Just throwing that out there...
