Heroes: "Sopranos" Star joins cast!

Well, the casting call has begun and we have the scoop on our first new hero!

Dania Ramirez ("The Sopranos") has been added to the cast as Maya, a new hero whose powers are being kept under wraps.

If the name doesn't sound familiar, she played A.J.'s fiance Blanca on this season of the Sopranos, as well as playing Callisto in the vomit-inducing "XMen: The Last Stand". Via Reuters:

Maya is one of four to five new characters expected to be added to "Heroes" next season, but her character might be the only regular one. The other roles, most of which are said to have international flavor, include a sexy boyfriend for Claire (Hayden Panettiere), a 28-year-old black mother, a surrogate for Niki's (Ali Larter) son and an Irish mobster.

Honey, please stop eating AJ's ear.

Wait, what? Boyfriend for Claire? HOW DARE THEY!!! Noooooooooooooo.... lucky sumbitch.

Past that bombshell, I'd also like to point out the "surrogate for Niki's son" part. What? Does that mean that Ali Larter won't be returning next season (oh please oh please oh please be true)?

I like the fact that while this season focused mainly on the U.S., the new season looks to be taking the show on the road. I do take offense to the Irish guy being a mobster of course. I mean, not all Irish guys are drunks, cops, or mobsters.

Some of us are firefighters too.
