![]() In the comic, Noah and his family sit down in a local diner for a nice, relaxing, "normal" meal together (complete with obligatory waffles reference). Unfortunately, as we all know, nothing in the Bennett family is ever "normal". Noah overhears two local police officers talking about a recent murder scene involving two local thugs that were found gnarled and twisted, like Michael Jackson before he "puts his face on". Wacky hijinks ensue. Noah immediately recognizes the effects as the super-powers of a person he dealt with in his time at the Company, someone he warned the Company about. Apparently, they didn't listen. Noah, being the HRG we all know and love, decides to put a stop to it. Of course, before he can do that, he's got to ditch the wife and kids. ![]() Paris and Nicole in The Simple Life: Season 6 Having promised his wife that this part of their life was over, Noah lies and says he's just going for a walk but it's never just that easy. His wife tells him that he has to live up to his responsibilities to his family... namely taking Mr. Muggles to do his dogly duties. Not one to be stopped by a little canine companionship, Noah agrees but then locks the dog in the Nissan Rogue (because god forbid we go one episode without blatant corporate advertising). His gun is locked in a gunsafe back at the hotel room, so Noah grabs the next best thing: his son's baseball bat. Awwww, yeah. Noah goes after the super-powered killer, who is revealed to have the ability to crumple anything he touches with his fingers... hmm, must be popular with the ladies (bow chicka bow wow). I won't ruin the ending, but lets just say that Noah knows how to handle himself, and leave it at that. In review, I'm really starting to like what they're accomplishing with the graphic novel. In the past, the art has been kind of dodgy at times, but they're definitely starting to establish a consistant look for the series, even managing to caricature the characters decently most of the time (there are still some odd looking shots and "not-quite-right" faces). The best part about the graphic novels is that they fill in the many, many gaps that the show leaves open. Everything from unexplained events (for instance, the last two weeks prior revealed how Noah got a hold of the tape revealing Claire's powers in the first season), to lapses in time and character backstory. It almost feels like the show isn't quite complete without the comics to back it up. All things considered, it was another great read this week. Like Hurley on Lost, HRG is one of those characters that you can't really go wrong with. Even after leaving the Company, he still can't turn his back when he's needed or when a super-powered criminal needs a beat down. You can download the PDF from the main Heroes site (www.nbc.com/Heroes/novels ) or read it online with their flash viewer HERE . Personally, I don't like either and prefer to read it in .cbr format using a freeware program called CDisplay (downloadable here ). WARNING:
Downloading files is wrong and evil and illegal and makes you a terrible person. No one should ever download a file for any reason whatsoever. This website does not endorse illegal down- loading or file-sharing, P2P or otherwise. You should only download files from the original website in whatever crappy and useless format they deem worthy for the likes of you. Also, you should always pay the owners your hard-earned money, because that's how they make their living and if you don't pay them they will starve and their families will be forced into slave camps. However, if you'd still like to know where you can download this file (y'know, strictly for educational purposes), you can highlight the text in the box below .
