This week the Secret Invasion goes international, crossing over into the UK with Captain Britain and MI-13 #1. Honestly, what's not to like about a superhero team consisting of a magical flying superhuman, a snarky British agent with blades of light, a vampiric superspeedy girl from WWII, and a Skrull that looks and talks exactly like John Lennon?
Then, in the first of the 3-part "Secret Invasion: Fantastic Four" miniseries, we see Marvel's first family begin their grudge match against the Skrulls (remember - Reed Richards turned the first Skrull invaders into cows back in the 60s), and for one of the team, it gets even more personal than that.

This week (ok, so the article is late - blame real life) the Secret Invasion continues in Secret Invasion #2, then crosses over into Mighty Avengers #13, which is still filling in the blanks from the end of the "Secret War" miniseries up to the present day Skrull invasion. Nick Fury knows the invasion is coming and is slowly putting together his plans to avert it, which involves the return of Daisy Johnson, super-powered ex-agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and part of the team that toppled the Latverian government in the pages of Secret War.
What can I say? I'm all for the return of any character that was based on Angelina Jolie in Hackers. Rrrrowr.
