    Birds of Prey #122
Birds of Prey? Trust me, I'm as surprised as you are.

This weeks issue of BoP really made me do a full 180 regarding the series, and has set up a conflict years in the making. But it doesn't just stop there - recently relocated to the tech-savvy city of Platinum Flats (Gotham must have been pretty crowded, and Metropolis didn't really need them with "Big Blue" flying around), Oracle (Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl) and the rest of her team find themselves pitted against an all new adversary called The Visionary who has the ability  to find your greatest fear and then manipulate it. Ninjas > Pirates > Zombies > Monkeys > Robots.

I mean, seriously - the main character is Gibbon for crying out loud. Don't know who that is without looking it up on the internet? Join the club.

    New Avengers #44
To quote the song Mr. Roboto by Styx, "secret, secret, I've got a secret".  Wow, did I seriously just quote Styx? I must be losing it.

The most recent issue of New Avengers (which has been and continues to be one of my all-time favorite series) finally starts to shed some light on how Skrull agents were able to infiltrate the entire world without anyone knowing or identifying them as fakes, and how they're able to perfectly mimic any superpower on Earth.

I'm torn. I want to shout out the ending, but it's so great that I don't want to spoil it here for anyone who hasn't read it yet. Without wanting to spoil anything I will say this: the person responsible is the very last person you would expect.
