    [BLOG] In the Upcoming Weeks...
    Thursday, 13 December 2007
Image A WORD FROM OUR ESTEEMED LEADER:

    Hey everyone!

You're no doubt sitting in front of your computers at home, weeping uncontrollably and cursing the gods because there was no post this week.

At least, that's what I like to think you're doing.

So, just to let you all know I still care and haven't become rich and famous and started ignoring my fans yet, here's an overview of the weeks to come:

First off, you're still going to get your weekly Heroes fix. How, you might ask? Well, even though the writers are off not working, and not getting paid, and not respecting and honoring the fans of their shows or the team of people who make their paychecks possible, there is still the weekly graphic novel.

This is usually posted on NBC's site Monday evening so look here Tuesday morning for a quick recap, highlights, and download link (because the flash reading software on NBC's site sucks the big one).

ImageWednesdays or Thursdays for the next few weeks I'll be posting articles on Lost in preparation of Season 4, which after a long and stunted Heroes season, should be just about as close to the second coming of Christ as is possible in the realm of television. To say that I'm excited is like saying that a nuclear explosion "stings a little". We'll cover a little bit of everything, counting down to the season premiere in February.

I've been considering starting up Comic of the Week again, but with Marvel and DC's renewed prosecutory vigor against P2P sites it may become a problem. Give me a shout if you want these back.

Past that, I'll write about anything that captures my interest, including the upcoming batch of films and general geek news. As for this week, however, I'm taking a much needed break and enjoying large quantities of alcohol by the side of my luxurious swimming pool (which is really just a child's plastic wading pool with a lawn chair next to it).

To quote Steve Jobs: "Oh yeah, and just one more thing..."

The rest of the time until Lost premieres in February will be spent on something I've been meaning to do for some time now...

See you in the upcoming weeks.

Sounds interesting! I've never yet seen a single episode of Lost and I'm thinking perhaps I ought to in time to catch Season 4. What say ye?

Tom - Yes, you should definitely check out Lost. It's just one of those shows. However, I will warn you: it's the kind of show that rewards people who pay attention. There are little things that you won't catch the first time around, or even the second time around, but make sense once you've seen all 3 seasons.

If for no other reason, I would suggest Lost for the (as-yet unexplained) smoke monster alone. It's elements like this that turn this from your ordinary survival story into a "what the hell was that?" thriller.

Lost will hopefully make me forget about every episode of Heroes this season except the finale. But I think there is a limit to where it stops being amazingly-wonderfuly-fantastic to just being silly, and if Lost does go on until 2010, that might start to ruin it. I think they should end the show with the fourth of fifth series, that would be much better. I also can't wait for some of the secrets and mysteries to be revealed.
