It was exactly two years ago on this day that I embarked on a brand new project: a little website by the name of BleepingGeek.com.![]() And while today is supposedly some other holiday (some unnaturally commercial holiday based on several archaic saints that I don't celebrate), we here at BleepingGeek.com prefer to call it "Bleeping Geek Day". Continuing my typical birthday tradition of begging you all mercilessly for money: PLEEEAASE! Please send me money! Send me cookies! Send me pictures of your hot girlfriends! ANYTHING! Hahaha! For the remainder of the weekend, feel free to celebrate by swearing up a storm, getting insanely drunk, correcting people on the internet, watching a marathon of your favorite films, or just by making ninja fist-pumping motions when you get excited. Maybe you can post what your favorite article was, or how you first found BleepingGeek.com in the comments below. It's up to you. So far this year, the site has been through two major redesigns (this current one feels like a keeper though) and I introduced the first of (hopefully) many video podcasts, my Battlestar Galacticaps (more on the way, I swear to God). It's been a lot of fun, and we're more popular and growing faster than ever. As always, a huge thank you goes out to all of my amazing readers/viewers and especially the site regulars who make writing for the site worthwhile (you know who you are). You guys make the site what it is, and I thank you for it. It's been a great two years, and here's to a great 2009 and hopefully many more years after that. Happy Bleeping Geek Day everyone!Comments (5)

Though I wasn't here for the beginning of the Bleeping Geek, I've been visiting for the last year and a half or so. It started when I was browsing the net for reviews of Heroes. At that point it was a few episodes into Volume 2 (and still a fairly good show...). What made me keep coming back here was all because of the amazing wit, humor, and enthusiasm that you put into all of your reviews (as well as your members-only theories sections). Your captions have me cracking up constantly, and I am always amazed at how thoroughly you cover all aspects of each episode you review. I continue to read the Heroes reviews, though now that it's practically impossible to understand the logic of the show, I read the reviews for your hilarious commentary on how bad the show has become (and I think no matter what Fuller does now that he's back, the show is a lost cause).
Your LOST critiques are now the must read reviews I come to Bleeping Geek for, and I think this season is the perfect one to hear your theories on (as well as the opinions of all the other great people that come here). And when you first mentioned a while back about doing video reviews, I was only expecting simple webcam reviews (and I would have been fine with just that). But with your BSG video reviews you exceeded my expectations tenfold. It is amazing that you find the time to do all of this, Pete, and for that you are definitely a BLEEPING GEEK! Happy Bleeping Geek Day and hopefully we'll be celebrating more of them for years to come!

^^ What he said. Congratulations Peter, you should be very proud. It's Monday morning here in Australia so the only thing I didn't do on your Bleeping Geek Day list is correcting someone on the internet. So allow me to be a douche and ask if an alternate style sheet for dark text on a light background is possible so I can read your awesome reviews and not see them for a good hour after I finish. Apart from that one thing, this site rules!! Keep it up and all the best for 2009!

I came across BleepingGeek just after my son was born in March of 2007 and I was also looking for Heroes reviews as I believe "Company Man" had just aired. Who knew that would be the pinnacle for the show still almost 2 years later.
Thanks for the writeups Peter, your theories and sense of humor when providing image captions has made this site my favorite place to read reviews for Lost and Heroes. Apparently I need to get on this Battlestar bandwagon and see what all the fuss is about! Are you ever going to catch up on the Lost reviews for this season? Not a big deal if you don't catch up but I'd love to hear your thoughts about the new episodes.
