Damn, there are a lot of good TV shows this season.
That's the first thought that sprang to mind as I set my TV dinner down after sitting through six and a half hours of preview DVD's.(Never mind the fact that I took so much time actually getting around to watching them that most of them are now review DVD's.)
So here they are, the shows of the Fall 2007 season that have piqued my interest, reviewed and rated. I've done things a little differently this time around however: the shows will be judged on my very own "HUMPability" scale (a scale of 1 to 5, depending on how badly the show makes me want to uncontrollably hump my television screen).
"Heroes", for instance, would get a 5 out of 5. "Private Practice" would have to go into double-digit negative numbers just to fully illustrate how it makes me physically sterile. Got the basic idea? Great!

HEROES Four Months Later aka: "Don't mess with a man on a coffee break" by Peter Sorensen
Season Two opens by revealing the fates of our favorite pair of superhero siblings...no, not the Wonder Twins... Nathan and Peter Petrelli. A new threat presents itself, Hiro meets his idol in feudal Japan (surprise! he's a cracker!) and Claire Bennet prances around for long enough to give me a whole new subsection in the "ol' spank bank".
The long wait is finally over. Heroes is back, baby!
The season kicks off with a look at where all of our favorite heroes have ended up. Ando and Hiro's father keep a constant vigil at the plaza where Hiro disappeared, Claire and her father have gone into hiding in California, Parkman and Mohinder have started up their own version of a Paul Reiser sitcom (I'll give you a hint: it's not Mad About You) and Nathan Petrelli is kickin' it Al Gore style with a snazzy new beard and drinking problem.
That's not to say that Al Gore has a drinking problem, but wouldn't he be even cooler if he did?

Our favorite cheerleader/scalding hot actress Hayden Panattiere turns 18 years old today...
...do we really need to say anything more?
(we would but you probably can't hear us over the deafening sound of every man in the world shouting "Hallelujah!" complete with angels singing and heavenly trumpets blaring)
In honor of sweet, beautiful, buxom Hayden's birthday, we here at BleepingGeek made her a very, very, "special" gift.

In a shocking (but somehow obvious) revelation, ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson told members of the Associated Press that Harold Perrineau, who plays the character "Michael" on the hit show Lost, will return to the show next season.
Last time we saw Michael, he was betraying his fellow survivors by turning them over to the Others in return for a way off the island for him and his paranormally creepy son, Walter.
After turning over Hurley, Jack, Kate, and Sawyer, Michael was given a boat and told to follow a precise heading off the island, sparking a wild fan-fueled debate over why you could only leave the island by that exact heading. |

Well, the casting call has begun and we have the scoop on our first new hero!
Dania Ramirez ("The Sopranos") has been added to the cast as Maya, a new hero whose powers are being kept under wraps.
If the name doesn't sound familiar, she played A.J.'s fiance Blanca on this season of the Sopranos, as well as playing Callisto in the vomit-inducing "XMen: The Last Stand". |
